Amanda Mason is an award-winning journalist who anchors Good Morning Basin in Texas from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and solo anchors and producers Big 2 First News at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.

As a journalist, Amanda believes it's her responsibility and honor is to serve her community on-air and off the air. Amanda enjoys being involved in the community. As a youth advocate and professional speaker, she has more than 15 years of experience focusing on Reaching Youth Before Alcohol and Drugs Do through her prevention program, Middle School Movement. In addition to her work in television, she has an extensive background in opera and musical theater having performed around NYC, at Carnegie Hall, in Las Vegas and Italy.
